The trek starts from Ahabal Falls the main tourist attraction in Shopian known as the Apple Bowl of Kashmir. It serves as a base camp to the sacred Lake of Kounsarnag. Kungwattan and Mahinag are the best camping grounds of the Kashmir Valley.
