Some of the parks are home to rare and high-altitude species, such as the Snow Leopard, ibex, blue sheep, musk deer, etc.
It offers a mix of wildlife spotting + spectacular Himalayan scenery, which adds to the experience beyond just animals.
Day 1 – Arrival & Afternoon Wildlife Explore
Arrive in the region by mid-morning (for example from Shimla or Kullu) and check-in to a forest lodge/eco-camp in Tirthan Valley.
After lunch, set off on an afternoon nature walk or short jeep/forest-track drive within Tirthan Sanctuary, focussing on spotting wildlife (musk deer, goral, birds) and enjoying forest & river scenery.
Evening: Relax at the lodge, enjoy the forest/sound of river, possibly a short dusk walk.
Night: Stay in lodge/eco-camp, surrounded by forest—great night atmosphere.
Day 2 – Early Morning & Departure
Very early morning (pre-sunrise) go for a wildlife walk/tracking session while it’s cool and the animals are more active.
Return, breakfast, then a longer trek or drive deeper into the sanctuary or towards GHNP for scenic viewpoints.
Lunch, pack up, check-out and start return trip/homewards.
